Screw the Avengers; it’s time for Moms & Dads to assemble! The Team Challenge begins on Thursday, May 30th 2019 (7pm, Danforth) for 3 weeks.
It's the most fun event of the year, and if you're looking to solidify some social connections at BOMB, this is the time to do it.
You'll form teams of 6 or 7 and compete against each other every Thursday @ 7pm at Danforth. You'll also get points for your team based on attendance (at any location) and Spirit Week.
Just like last year, we hope to have at least one Broadview team and one Beach team swagger into Danforth each Thursday. There will also be at least one Transformation Challenge team.
HOW DO I JOIN?
1. If you already know a few people, start approaching them in class and choose a team captain. Once that's done, just complete this form to officially register.
2. If you want to join as a solo individual, just complete this form and we'll match you up with others to create a team. If you want to do the challenge with a BOMB friend (but don't have enough to complete a team) just enter their name(s) in the "Anything Else" part of the form. We'll choose a team captain for you.
It's $20 to join and that gets you a challenge t-shirt. The rest of the fee goes towards the prize pool for the winners. The registration fee (cash only) should be collected by your captain and given to us on the first day of the challenge.

You will need to have at least one male, one female and one new member (as of Jan 1, 2019) on your team of 7. The new member can also be someone who has re-joined BOMB.
You should be able to make 2-3 of the weekly face-offs. You'll need at least 3 team members to show up every Thursday.
You must be an unlimited member and you should also be able to commit to coming to three classes a week for the majority of the challenge.
What if I'm not in the best shape?
The Team Challenge is a series of funny, friendly, fitness-y shenanigans meant to bring our community together. Mostly, we just get you to play adult versions of kids games and that includes some thinking and coordination. The challenges are a workout but are in short bursts, so you don't have to be in the best shape of your life to join.
Does this mean I have to work out at Danforth for 3 weeks?
No. The weekly face-offs are at Danforth but you accumulate points at your home location. This includes spirit week.
What does the role of captain entail?
The team captain is needed to relay important information to you about the challenge, keep track of points, and keep you all in line. They will also gather the entry fees.
What if I'm away for a few days or a week during the challenge?
Your captain will be able to cut the lowest score each week, so don’t worry.
What are the weekly face-off challenges all about?
They run every Thursday from 7:00pm to 7:40pm. The challenges are designed for a fluctuating number of participants. Depending on the challenge, you only need 3 participants. For some challenges, the more participants you have, the easier it will be - a bit like hockey.
The actual work time for most challenges is only about 15 minutes and you will receive the instructions from your captain every Monday (so you can strategize!). You can work out on the same day if you want.
The challenges are fun and a little ridiculous, but that means nothing will be beyond your fitness level. You don't have to be in amazing shape to participate.
