Whether you’re carrying a heavy load, going for a run or just getting up from a chair, your core should be working to generate power, transfer load and stabilize your body. When activated correctly, you should feel it (really feel it) working during every exercise in every class you take. And once you are able to do that, you will notice an immediate increase in strength and power.

The program is a structured mix of jogging and walking, with the emphasis on more jogging as the weeks go on. You'll have the support of our marathon-running coach, Rachel, and your fellow runners. The Core 4 is a team of muscles designed to work together in anticipation of our every move. Pregnancy and birth can impact the synergy of the Core 4 resulting in symptoms like incontinence, low back pain, painful intercourse or pelvic organ prolapse (yikes!).

In this workshop, we’ll talk about the signs of core dysfunction and work through a series of exercises designed to help retrain your Core 4 to work together automatically to support and protect your spine and pelvis during daily life and while exercising.

This workshop is appropriate for both pre & post-natal women (no matter how old your child may be). Babes in arms are welcome to attend, but child minding will not be provided.

Our latest Skills Workshop (free to unlimited members) concentrates on one of the most difficult, yet important, movement patterns - the hip hinge with glute activation. A hip hinge exercise that you'll know of is the deadlift or a kettlebell swing.

During this workshop we'll cover 5 steps to make this movement pattern a lot more effective in your training routine. You'll be able to engage your hamstrings and glutes much better on completion of this workshop and then be able to tackle the deadlift or hip thrusts in Get Strong or a Bootcamp much more effectively.

Have you been re-watching the series in anticipation? Listening to recap podcasts? Parsing every moment of the trailers for clues? Trolling message boards for new theories? Or......is that just us?

Anywho! While we’re oh-so-patiently waiting for the season premiere, let’s have a little bit of morbid fun with a Game of Thrones Alive/Dead/Wight pool!

To join the pool, click the “Register Here” button below. Make sure you sign up by Tuesday, April 9.  The cost to enter is $10 plus a $1 administration fee.  On Wednesday, April 10, everyone who has entered will receive a link to an online survey where you will choose if each of the characters will be alive, dead or a wight by the end of the series.

Responses must be submitted no later than Sunday, April 14 at 8 pm. The member(s) with the most correct answers will win all the money in the Iron Bank (aka the entire prize pool)!

For those of you not participating in the pool, don’t worry.  You’ll still have a chance to take part in some Game of Thrones fun.  Finishers are coming.
